OFFICIAL: Five-time Champions League winner has officially joined Manchester United on a six-month loan with an obligation to purchase. The player will be present to observe the Brighton match tomorrow. Congratulations to Manchester United supporters.

Following a disappointing start to the season under Erik ten Hag, Manchester United opted to appoint Ruben Amorim as the new head coach.

Following a few weeks under the new management, United exhibited encouraging performances against Liverpool and Arsenal in consecutive matches, leading to the belief that they had turned a corner and that improvements would ensue.

Nonetheless, Amorim’s team performed inadequately once more against relegation-threatened Southampton yesterday night, although they ultimately secured victory due to Amad Diallo’s late hat trick.

Manchester United currently occupies the 12th position in the Premier League standings, having accrued 26 points from 21 matches. This marked their inaugural victory at Old Trafford since the triumph against Everton last month.

Currently, the January transfer market is open, and United seeks to strengthen the team to assist Amorim in reversing the situation during the latter half of the season.

In a post on X, transfer journalist Christian Falk indicates that Manchester United is keen on acquiring Bayern Munich youngster Alphonso Davies and plans to engage in discussions with the player’s agency to finalise the trade.

The athlete is approaching the concluding months of his existing deal, and the Bavarian club has struggled to convince him to agree to an extension. His future is presently uncertain.

Davies’s representatives will engage in discussions with Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City on a possible transfer. Consequently, it will be challenging for Amorim’s team to finalise the agreement.

The Canadian, presently earning over £182,000 per week at Allianz Arena, is regarded as one of the premier fullbacks globally.

He has demonstrated his abilities at the highest echelon, contributing to Bayern’s acquisition of a Champions League trophy, numerous Bundesliga titles, and various other cup competitions.

Therefore, Davies would be an outstanding acquisition for Manchester United should they get him.
