Man United line up £40 million Wolves star midfielder to replace Casemiro this summer

Manchester United is formulating strategies to replace Casemiro during the upcoming summer transfer window and has identified Joao Gomes, a midfielder from Wolves, as a potential candidate.

The ex-Real Madrid prodigy had a significant influence at Old Trafford in the previous season after his unexpected move, but has had greater difficulties this time.

Due to injuries, the 32-year-old was once again not present on Sunday as an improvised United team rallied from behind to achieve a remarkable comeback against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Gomes signed with Wolves in January and swiftly emerged as one of the most talented midfielders in the Premier League.

Due to the departures of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, and Matheus Nunes from Molineux in the past 18 months, Gomes has been presented with a challenging assignment. However, he has taken on the role with distinction.

According to the Mirror, Manchester United have conducted multiple scouting sessions for the 23-year-old player and are considering making a £40 million offer during the summer.

Wolves are cognizant of the attention surrounding their valuable asset and are actively searching for a suitable substitute.

Gomes meets the criteria for the kind of player that United will focus on to reconstruct their team, with the guidance of new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Joao Gomes is scheduled to participate in the Brazil versus England match.

The British businessman and his newly formed backroom team will supervise a significant restructuring of the existing squad. Ratcliffe elucidated his concept in a comprehensive interview last week.

“Investing a large sum of money in a few exceptional players is not the solution,” stated the INEOS boss. ‘They have accomplished that over the past decade.

‘Our initial priority is to ensure that we have competent individuals in appropriate positions who can effectively manage and organize the club. Additionally, it is crucial that we make accurate and successful recruitment decisions.’ Discovering fresh players is an essential aspect of managing a football club in the present day.

Having the appropriate organizational structure is essential. During the era of Sir Alex Ferguson, he held the position of manager. Currently, we do not employ managers; instead, we have a coach. The coach would be accountable to a sporting director, who in turn would be accountable to the chief executive.

‘It is essential to determine the placement of recruiting and strategy inside your organization. You must ensure that your organization is structured correctly and then fill it with individuals who are highly skilled and exceptional in their respective fields.’

‘The process of achieving success at Manchester United is not as simple as flipping a light switch. It requires a much longer and more complex journey, since there are numerous facets of the club and the game that must be mastered.’
