After beating rival clubs to the acquisition of a £50 million UCL big player, Arsenal is now going to reveal their first January signing. While the medical team is waiting in the wings to welcome Arsenal’s first January signing, the final moment has finally arrived. FOR NOW

Although Arsenal has not made any acquisitions during the winter transfer window, there is a possibility that they will do so in the near future.

As a result of injuries sustained by Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, the Gunners are lacking in the last third of the pitch. It has been admitted by the club’s manager, Mikel Arteta, that the team is investigating several possibilities in the transfer market.

According to a report published by Calciomercato today, Arsenal have reportedly made contact with the representation of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who may leave Turin prior to the transfer deadline.

Bianconeri are on the approach of acquiring the loan services of Randal Kolo Muani, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain. Given the circumstances surrounding his contract, this may make it possible for Vlahovic to leave the team.

There are fewer than eighteen months remaining on Vlahovic’s contract, and he has not yet reached an agreement on new terms. This winter, Juventus is willing to consider approving a transfer of him for a price ranging from £42 million to £51 million.

There is some possibility for negotiation between Arsenal and the Bianconeri, but the amount of time available to them is limited. It is rumoured that Juventus is looking for a successor in the event that the Serbian player leaves the club.

If Arsenal were to sign Vlahovic, it would be a hazardous move.A comparison was made between the 24-year-old player and Erling Haaland while he was playing for Fiorentina. After having a spectacular year in which he scored 34 goals, he eventually completed the move to Juventus in January of 2022.

Since that time, he has had a difficult time scoring with the same consistency. Vlahovic has only scored 53 goals for the Bianconeri in his 125 total appearances for the team. During this season, twelve of them have arrived.

From our point of view, a permanent signing of Vlahovic would be a gamble that would be fraught with danger. Since he turned down Arsenal for a high-paying transfer to Turin, the striker has not lived up to the expectations that were placed on him.

During the current season in Serie A, the Serbian attacker has a shot-to-goal conversion rate of barely 13 percent and has failed to capitalise on 12 significant opportunities.

Kai Havertz, on the other hand, has scored 18 percent of the goals he has taken in the Premier League. He has missed eleven significant opportunities.

To our eyes, there is not much of a difference. Another concerning aspect of Vlahovic’s injury history is that he has suffered from a number of aches and pains throughout his tenure at Juventus.

It would be beneficial for Arsenal to offer Vlahovic a loan with the possibility of a purchase in order to determine whether or not he is able to adjust to the more intense nature of English football.
