A deal is expected to be finalised within the next twenty-four hours, and Manchester United has just announced that they have finally reached an agreement with a top European striker who has scored 18 goals this season. The striker’s jersey number was chosen last night.

The hierarchy of Manchester United has begun to increase their efforts to strengthen the squad during this winter transfer window in response to the statement made by Ruben Amorim, who stated that the current Manchester United team is the worst in the club’s entire history.

They have made efforts to entice Patrick Dorgu from the Italian club Lecce, and they are making the acquisition of a new left-wing back a top priority.

Now, a transfer expert named Mick Brown mentioned on Football Insider that Manchester United are also interested in hiring a new number nine, and that they already have a clear idea of the kind of striker they want to bring in.

Even though they have their sights set on Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres, they are unable to afford him at the moment. As a result, United will have to shift their attention to other potential players.

Amorim’s administration has been “keeping a close eye on” the possibility of acquiring the services of Napoli star Victor Osimhen, who is currently playing for Galatasaray on loan. However, it is possible that they will not be able to purchase him during this window of opportunity; consequently, they will have to wait until the summer of the following year. According to Brown:

“United will shift their focus to some of their other targets who may be available,” the statement read. As far as I’ve been told, Osimhen will be one of those. Someone who they have been keeping a close eye on is he.

It is possible that it will be another expensive one, but that will be decided at the club and with Napoli. After that, it is possible that it will be more likely to take place during the holiday season.

Despite the fact that Brown has stated that Osimhen will not be available in January, it was previously reported that Napoli would be prepared to sell him permanently this month in the event that they receive an offer of approximately 62.2 million pounds.

Therefore far this season, the Nigerian has been doing quite well for Cimbom, as evidenced by the fact that he has scored 15 goals and registered six assists over 19 games across all competitions.

The two attackers that Manchester United now have available to them are Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. However, the two strikers have only scored a total of five goals in the Premier League thus far, which is just not enough.

It must be remembered that the Red Devils paid over £100 million (combined) for the dup in the last two summer windows and the output has been poor.

Therefore, signing a new seasoned striker would help Amorim resolve the goal-scoring issues and Osimhen might be a shrewd acquisition. What do you think?
