Premier League LIVE: Slot shares mixed Liverpool injury news, Zabarrnyi’s red card upheld, Carragher addresses AFCON comments

Timo, the time is up.
You, Ange Postecoglou has acknowledged that Timo Werner was in good shape and available for the Spurs squad last weekend; however, Werner was not included in the squad.
This season, the German has had a difficult time maintaining his fitness and form, and the Carabao Cup is where he scored his only goal out of a total of 26 appearances.
That was, ironically, against Tottenham’s next opponents, Manchester City, but it was in the Premier League, where Werner has not been successful in any of his previous campaigns.
In his 17 appearances in the Premier League this season, the former Chelsea striker has only managed to record three assists and has not scored a single goal.
When Postecoglou was asked about his absence from the victory over Ipswich on Saturday, he responded by saying, “He was only really available for the weekend, but because of the make-up of the squad, I put Sergio Reguilon in as another defender.” After completing his training, he is now ready to go for tomorrow.
At the end of the tunnel, there is light.
It would appear that Tottenham Hotspur’s injury problems are beginning to show signs of improvement.
Following the return of James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, and Destiny Udogie, the Spurs have won three consecutive league games. Additionally, they have welcomed back Destiny Udogie.
One or two of their most important players, such as Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke, have not been available for them to play with.
On the other hand, that might be about to change.
In his remarks prior to the match against Manchester City, Ange Postecoglou provided a positive update on his injury status.
The fans of the Spurs, you did read that correctly.
During an interview with the official Twitter page of the club, he gave the following statement: “The lads are tracking really well [Solanke, Van de Ven, and Cristian Romero].
The majority of them are somewhere between seven and ten days away, and a few of them have already begun their training.
“I am hoping to incorporate them into matchday squads.”
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has refused to acknowledge that the championship race is over. “Over my dead body,” he said.
After suffering a loss to West Ham by a score of 1-0 and Liverpool claiming victory over Manchester City, the Gunners are currently 11 points behind the Reds.
As the team prepares to take on Nottingham Forest, Arteta has made it abundantly clear that he does not believe the situation is completely over.
It was during his pre-match press conference that he made the following statement: “Over my dead body.
If not, I will return home.
“From a mathematical standpoint, it is feasible. We have arrived, and it is imperative that we proceed.
