Manchester United announce more redundancies as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s cost-cuts hit staff canteen

Cost-cutting measures have continued at Manchester United, as evidenced by the confirmation of a new round of redundant positions.

Following the revelation that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ruthless cuts at Manchester United have now even reached the club canteen, this comes as a result of the revelation.

At the Carrington canteen, the only lunch options available to non-playing staff at United are soup and sandwiches, according to talkSPORT’s understanding of the situation.

Since Ratcliffe and his company, INEOS, spent one billion pounds for a 27.7 percent stake in the club the previous year, this is the most recent decision that Ratcliffe has made that has been seen as unpopular.

On Monday, the club issued a statement in which it confirmed that an additional 150 to 200 positions would be eliminated.

Ratcliffe had already parted ways with 250 staff members across all departments during the summer, so this was the second mass cull of employees that he had overseen during his tenure as an employee.

In addition, Ratcliffe has reduced the amount of money that is allocated to the charitable arm of the club, increased the price of tickets by twenty-six pounds, and even removed the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson from his long-standing paid ambassadorial role with the club.

The announcement of the most recent reductions to the club’s canteen servings comes just a few days after United disclosed their alarming financial results for the second quarter.
