‘I tried possible best to convince Him to join Man City but He choose Arsenal’: Man city Star Rodri confirmed His £40m Spanish teammate have pledged to join Arsenal over Man city by January

Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal has sent scouts to follow left-back Miguel Gutiérrez of Girona, who is also being targeted by numerous European teams.

Since his Real Madrid debut in 2021, the 22-year-old has piqued the interest of the Gunners. Romano claims that in recent weeks, the Gunners have sent out scouts to observe the prodigy, born in 2001 and bound to Girona until 2027.

Madrid is reportedly interested in the full-back, even though no other potential suitors have been found for the defender.

Gutiérrez progressed through the Real Madrid academy’s ranks before paying €4 million to Girona in 2022. The contract of the Spanish powerhouses includes a 50% sell-on clause, but a move for Guttierez is unlikely given Fran Garcia and the likely sale of Alphonso Davies.

In all likelihood, Girona would prefer to hold onto the Spaniard until the summer, but a sizable bid in January might compel the Catalan team to make a move.

The Gunners approved Kierney’s summer loan move to Real Sociedad, and now they are evaluating their left-back options.

Oleksandr Zinchenko was the only recognizable left back in the team when Nuno Tavares left Olympique Marseille after a successful run in the French League to sign a loan agreement with a buyout option.

Scouts are taking an interest in Gutierrez due to his exceptional plays for Girona, who are currently leading La Liga. In 12 appearances across all competitions, the Spaniard has contributed one assist. The full-back has shown remarkable offensive and defensive skills in Girona’s unexpected rise.

With 46 appearances under his belt for Girona, the 22-year-old’s outstanding play has piqued Arsenal’s interest, and they are closely monitoring his progress.

Mikel Arteta’s tactical philosophy favors fullbacks who can invert into midfield and serve as a conduit for seamless transitions between defense and offense, and Gutierrez is one of Europe’s best inverted fullbacks.
