'I'm really sorry to say' - Klopp makes shock Premier League title admission

With just seven games remaining in the Premier League, Arsenal leads the standings, tied with Liverpool for second place on points, but with a better goal differential than the Merseysiders.

In contrast, Manchester City is just one point behind in one of the closest Premier League title races in recent memory.

After a disappointing 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, Liverpool lost the opportunity to move up to the top, and their title fate is once more out of their control.

Despite Luis Diaz giving the Reds a 1-0 lead in the first half, Liverpool wasted opportunities in front of goal, managing 15 shots against United’s zero in that half.

But after the interval, unusual circumstances saw Bruno Fernandes tie the score before Kobbie Mainoo gave his team a 2-1 lead.

Liverpool had to rely on a late penalty kick from Mohamed Salah to salvage a point in a match that they dominated from beginning to end.

But with Arsenal coming to Old Trafford for their penultimate league match before facing Everton on the final day of the season, United could still have a lot of influence in the race for the championship.

Additionally, Klopp acknowledges that he will be rooting for the Red Devils if Liverpool is still in the running for the championship at that point, but he also expresses doubt about United’s chances of defeating Mikel Arteta’s team.

‘ARSENAL WILL WIN, I’M 100% SURE’ “Probably,” he responded when asked if he would be rooting for United against Arsenal. It would be fantastic if we were still here.

“Arsenal is a good football team, and I’m positive that Arsenal will win that game if [United] plays like they did today.” I regret to inform you that this is a true statement.

“We didn’t win both of our games against United in the FA Cup and the league. We are to blame for that. We have never dominated United like we did in these two games, even though we were not victorious. That is, until I came here.

“I’m perfectly okay with the fact that we are who and where we are. Until the very end, I knew it would be very difficult. We were leading the table until yesterday; now it’s Arsenal. After 38 games, we aim to be at the top.”
