In brief
The top incomes for Bayern Munich have been made public.
Even after joining the team, Luis Diaz is not among the top four attackers in terms of earnings.
The club’s second-highest paid player is Manuel Neuer.
Bayern Munich has been, is, and undoubtedly will continue to be one of the biggest teams in Europe. The dominant force in Germany has become one of the largest clubs on the continent by using their domestic dominance.

In order to assist them achieve greater heights, the Bavarians have been able to attract some of the top players in the globe to wear their renowned red shirt. But that actually has a cost because the world’s top players will always demand high compensation.

Some of the numbers given to the Bayern Munich players are alarming, given that football revenue is at an all-time high. And we now know exactly how much money each player in Vincent Kompany’s team makes each week, courtesy to the professionals at Capology.

Goalkeepers

Manuel Neuer, Alexander Nubel, Daniel Peretz, Jonas Urbig

Who would be interested in becoming a goalie? Frequently attacked, infrequently praised, and typically underpaid. Manuel Neuer, the captain of Bayern Munich, is the second-highest paid player at the club due to his longevity and reputation as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, thus the latter is definitely not the case.

Although Alexander Nubel has frequently had to observe from the dugout while Neuer does his duties, a weekly remuneration of £133,301 will undoubtedly lessen the pain.

The two young players, Daniel Peretz and Jonas Urbig, are hoping to make the club in the future, although they are currently not included in the senior lineup.

Defenders

Alphonso Davies, Min-jae Kim, Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano, Konrad Laimer, Raphael Guerreiro, Josip Stansic, Hiroki Ito, Sacha Boey, Adam Aznou, Tarek Buchmann

While defence wins titles, attack wins games. However, their financial situation doesn’t necessarily reflect the value of having a solid backline. Youngsters Adam Aznou and Tarek Buchmann are at the bottom of the list, making far less than Frenchman Sacha Boey, who comes in third from the bottom with a weekly salary of just under £50,000.

The last defender to earn less than six figures is Hiroki Ito, a Japanese defender who is now sidelined due to a fractured metatarsal. The first of seven defenders to earn over £100,000 is Josip Stansic. Raphael Guerreiro, one of numerous players who joined Bayern from Borussia Dortmund, comes next.

Originally purchased as a midfielder, Konrad Laimer has had to switch to full-back in order to obtain playing time in Bavaria. He definitely deserves his nearly £150,000 contract because of his flexibility. Before Jonathan Tah signed on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, Dayot Upamecano was the third-highest paid player in the backline. This allowed him to negotiate a better deal for himself because there was no transfer fee.

Tah and Min-jae Kim, a fellow central defender, are tied after Bayern signed him from Napoli in 2023. Alphonso Davies, one of the fastest football players in the world, comes in first place.

Midfielders

Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Joao Palhinha, Aleksandar Pavlovic

Because Capology is using certain players who could play as number 10 or a more experienced midfielder as attackers, Bayern’s midfield ranks may appear to be very thin. Joshua Kimmich, who ended rumours of an exodus by signing a brand-new contract for more than £330,000 per week in March, is now at the top of the midfield rankings.

Leon Goretzka signed a deal in September 2021, making it one of the longest active contracts in the Bayern team. The German is another well-known player whose future is uncertain, and because his contract expires in the summer, he might be planning his next move.

Last summer, Joao Palhinha arrived from Fulham, where he was earning a few pounds more per week than he did at Craven Cottage. Aleksandar Pavlovic, a young player, is the only midfield player on less, but larger deals are undoubtedly in the horizon.

Attackers: Kingsley Coman, Michael Olise, Bryan Zaragoza, Paul Wanner, Luis Diaz, Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane, and Jamal Musiala

Because goals are so valuable, it has long been the case in football that the offence receives the majority of funding. The young players are, as usual, paid less; the bottom two are Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza, who earns six figures despite having little playing time, and 19-year-old Austrian-born Paul Wanner.

Michael Olise, a former Crystal Palace star, is earning more than twice as much as Zaragoza. At Selhurst Park, he was reportedly earning £100,000, which was less than his Spanish teammate’s salary despite being one of the team’s stars. New guy Luis Diaz comes next, and according to Forbes, the Colombian will make £230,000 a week.

For a spot on Vincent Kompany’s flanks, Diaz will face competition from players like Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry, but both men are better paid. So is Jamal Musiala, who will be making a lot of money despite being out due to a terrible injury.

On the other hand, Harry Kane is the club’s top player. Because he is among the best strikers in the world, the Englishman commands a high salary—just about half a million pounds a week.
