Breaking News: Man City target agrees terms with Man United in a major blow for Pep Guardiola – Done Deal

Reports state that a personal terms agreement has been reached between Manchester United and one of Manchester City’s transfer targets.

Jarrad Branthwaite, a 21-year-old defender for Everton, is expected to make a significant move out of Goodison Park this summer as the Merseyside club looks to raise money in the face of chronic ownership and financial issues.

Following a dismal 2023–24 campaign, the Red Devils are anticipated to bolster their roster during the transfer window.

United’s FA Cup victory at Wembley notwithstanding, their Premier League performance was lacklustre.

Both Manchester teams have shown in previous seasons that they are prepared to shell out hefty transfer amounts to get players from other Premier League teams.

According to The Times, personal terms have been struck between the Red Devils and Everton defender Branthwaite, for whom the Merseyside club is asking for £70 million.

The Englishman is apparently a target for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Tottenham, and Manchester City after an incredible season on Merseyside.

Several of the top teams in the world have taken notice of Branthwaite’s efforts during his 35 Premier League games for Everton last season.

The English defender is being pursued by the Red Devils in order to take Raphae Varane’s place, who departed the team when his contract expired.

Branthwaite just missed being included in England’s Euro 2024 squad by Gareth Southgate.

More than Man City, Manchester United needs Branthwaite.
Given their inexperienced defence, Man United had always shown a greater interest in the Everton defender.

Branthwaite is not Man City’s top target this summer; they have other spots on their roster to prioritise, despite their interest in him.

Man City should consider adding players to their midfield, attack, or full-back positions.

If Man United and Everton can agree on a fee, there shouldn’t be any serious competition from other Premier League teams for the young defender’s services.
