“Next season, I don’t want to see him at my team. Owner of Arsenal, Stan Kroenke, cautions Edu to let go of the £60 million star this summer if he is to save his job. “He made me lose the title to Manchester City last season,” Kroenke says.

Arsenal can now start making the required acquisitions to catch up to Manchester City and ultimately win the Premier League as the transfer market is officially open.

Numerous gifted football players, such Nico Williams and Victor Osimhen, have already been linked to the Gunners. However, Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar must cut those who are thought unnecessary in order to make room for new players.

One of these players may be leaving the Emirates soon, according to recent sources, which will free up a sizable portion of the wage budget because he presently makes more money than William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.

News about Arsenal transfers
Thomas Partey, an Arsenal midfielder, is reportedly “closing in on a summer move to Saudi Arabia,” per a recent report from Football Insider.

According to the source, the interested team and the 31-year-old’s representatives are already in negotiations, and the offer that is being considered is especially attractive for the 30-year-old.

Although no fee has been mentioned, it won’t be greater than the £45 million the Gunners had to repay in 2020 given his enormous salary and limited playing time the previous season.

However, the source states that it is anticipated that the player will depart by the end of the window, which is most likely advantageous for all parties.

The pay of Thomas Partey
First things first: Partey is among the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League when he’s healthy and on the pitch. However, that brings up a big issue: he’s never healthy.

The Ghanaian international played in just 16 games for Arteta’s championship contenders last season, starting ten of them and accruing just 882 minutes of total playing time. During that time, he was unable to record a goal or an assist.

By contrast, two of the most important players for the club, Saka and Saliba, made 47 and 50 appearances, respectively.

Even worse, the former Atletico Madrid player makes more money than both of them despite playing hardly at all in the previous campaign.

The Frenchman makes £190k a week, the Englishman makes £195k, and the former midfield “monster,” as football presenter Adam Keys nicknamed him, earns a whooping £200k a week.

Combining his initial transfer fee with his whole salary to date, the 6′ 1″ colossus has cost the Gunners around £83.4 million, which equates to £725k every appearance, £16.6 million each goal, or £20.8 million per assist.

Partey is undoubtedly a brilliant football player, but even though he’s past 30, he can’t remain healthy, and he earns a huge salary, therefore Arsenal should seize the opportunity to sell him this summer for a profit.
