Mauricio Pochettino must prioritize using the £20m Chelsea player against Newcastle, despite his lack of game time in 2024.
Mauricio Pochettino is likely to have already determined the final lineup for tonight’s Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.
He has had a nine-day break since the last Chelsea game, during which they had difficulties but managed to get a point in the London derby against Brentford.
Pochettino opted to experiment with a novel formation on that particular day, deploying a defensive line consisting of Axel Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah, and Levi Colwill.
The latter has now been included in a roster of players who are afflicted with injuries that persistently grows larger each week.
During the pre-match press conference, the manager acknowledged the possibility that he may not be able to choose one of the players who has been crucial to the team’s performance this season.
