Reports indicate that Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner of Manchester United, has made the decision to dismiss Erik ten Hag and is now considering appointing Roberto De Zerbi, the current manager of Brighton, as his replacement.

Ten Hag enjoyed a successful debut season at Old Trafford in 2022/23, guiding the Red Devils to the final of the FA Cup, winning the League Cup, and securing a top-four position in the Premier League.

Is Erik ten Hag going to be fired from his position at Manchester United?
Unfortunately, this season has not unfolded as expected for Manchester United, as they ended up at the bottom of their Champions League group and are facing difficulties in keeping up with the top four teams in the Premier League.

Manchester United successfully recovered from back-to-back defeats against Fulham and Manchester City by securing a 2-0 victory over Everton during the weekend. This triumph was achieved by the conversion of penalties by both Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

However, Ten Hag’s team did not perform convincingly once again, as they allowed the Toffees to take 23 shots. Sean Dyche’s team, on the other hand, considered themselves unfortunate not to have earned at least one point from their visit to Old Trafford.

Earlier sources have suggested that Manchester United are inclined to postpone making a decision on Ten Hag’s future until the conclusion of the season. However, recent subpar performances may potentially lead to a shift in this approach.
