Mason Mount sent out a positive statement after Manchester United’s friendly loss to Arsenal in the US, in which the Reds Devils suffered two injuries.

Mason Mount, who is hoping for a fresh start at Old Trafford, expressed a lot in his one-word response to Manchester United’s loss to Arsenal.

The former Chelsea midfielder’s debut season with the Red Devils was underwhelming, and injuries did not make things any better. Even though United’s season was ended on a surprising victory against Manchester City in the FA Cup, many club officials are hoping for a fresh start.

Among them is head coach Erik ten Hag, who has inked a new, long-term deal in addition to being retained. Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, has been added back into the team after publicly splitting from Ten Hag, who claimed the team had “found complete unity” as he was signing a new contract.

In the meanwhile, Mount wants to get back to the form that allowed him to become a mainstay in Gareth Southgate’s England team. And as he said on social media following the game, Mount was eager to maintain his optimism despite losing 2-1 to the Gunners in Los Angeles.

He appeared to demonstrate the team’s unity ahead of the upcoming season by posting a photo of himself getting aid from Casemiro to stand and captioning it “Together” on Instagram. Additionally, he posted a photo of himself and Hojlund having fun with the remark, “Love it lads.”

Ten Hag recently leapt to Mount’s rescue, stating that it was unfair to evaluate him based just on his debut campaign at United. Mount’s adaptability was praised by the Dutchman, who used him on the right wing against Arsenal, saying, “You can’t judge his season because he was injured.” Please don’t condemn him. However, if he’s well, he’ll be a fantastic player for us and incredibly versatile.

“You need multifunctional players, team players, and certain types in the squad; he is one of the players who can play multiple positions and will benefit the team.”

However, a few worrisome injury concerns that arose against Arsenal will put United’s optimism to the test. Shortly after giving United the lead, Hojlund was substituted out, and Leny Yoro, a recent addition, trailed the Dane back to the dressing room.

Although neither problem is believed to be significant, Ten Hag is dealing with a headache in advance of Saturday, August 10’s Community Shield against City.
