His experience makes him a top target for Manchester United, who are looking to bring in a defensive midfielder with leadership qualities for the upcoming campaign.

Manchester United is reportedly in negotiations to get Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, according to Caught Offside, and they are leading candidates over teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Galatasaray. Although Rabiot’s agents and United are reportedly in good communication, it is anticipated that the Frenchman will demand a salary of between £8 and £9 million annually, which is considered to be very high at this point when taking into account a signing-on bonus.

Ahead of their Community Shield match a week earlier on August 10 and their Premier League opener against Fulham on August 16, Manchester United is working hard to complete the deal as quickly as possible.
