Breaking News: £16.8 million man agrees to join Chelsea as Boehly seals another signing – DONE DEAL
Chelsea has reached an agreement with the player’s club to sign a £16.8 million player, and Todd Boehly is now nearing the signing of a tenth summer addition.
Chelsea is undergoing a team revamp and a hectic transfer window.
The following players have been confirmed as new Chelsea additions for this summer: Tosin Adarabioyo (Fulham), Omari Kellyman (Aston Villa), Renato Veiga (FC Basel), Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Leicester City), Marc Guiu (Barcelona), Caleb Wiley (Atlanta United), and Filip Jorgensen (Villarreal). Brazilian teenager Estevao Willian is also expected to join in 2025.

After passing his physical this week at Stamford Bridge, Aaron Anselmino will finalise his move to Chelsea from Boca Juniors, bringing the total number of acquisitions made by new manager Enzo Maresca ahead of his debut Premier League season in charge to nine.
Many of the aforementioned players, though, are still young and might be considered future additions to Maresca’s starting lineup rather than instant upgrades. Just Tosin, Dewsbury-Hall, and Jorgensen are certain to make the senior squad, so Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, the co-sporting directors, may still have work to do.

Above all, Chelsea seems to be actively seeking a new forward. Romelu Lukaku, a Belgian who has already agreed to a three-year contract and pay-cut to work under Antonio Conte once more, might be used as a makeweight. The west Londoners and Napoli are now in negotiations over striker Victor Osimhen (Ben Jacobs).
In the meantime, Chelsea has made a firm offer for Maximilian Beier of Hoffenheim, who may serve as Osimhen’s backup should a deal not be reached for the Nigerian.
Additionally, Chelsea may be able to add even more skill to its already impressive group of young players. The newest gem on their radar is Mike Penders, the shot-stopper for KRC Genk, who made his debut in the Jupiler Pro League last weekend in a 0-0 tie with Standard Liege.
BlueCo believes Penders has the potential to be the next Thibaut Courtois, and reports earlier this week said Chelsea was nearing a deal to acquire him. At a towering 6 feet 7 inches, the 19-year-old now seems even closer to a Stamford Bridge move.

Penders accepts Chelsea offer after reaching an agreement with Genk
Penders has reportedly agreed to join Chelsea, and they have an agreement with Genk, according to HITC. In fact, the Blues will spend about £16.8 million to get him, and in order to further his development, he will spend the 2024–2025 season on loan at Genk.
It looks Chelsea is very close to securing their tenth signing of the summer with both personal terms and an agreement reached between the sides; the young talent seems highly-regarded by those in the club following the Courtois comparison.
He might face up against Jorgensen for the top slot in upcoming seasons.
