Sad News: Man Utd: Ratcliffe ‘decides to fire’ Ten Hag as Red Devils ‘negotiate’ with Premier League boss

Erik ten Hag could reportedly be replaced by Roberto De Zerbi.

According to reports, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi will likely take Erik ten Hag’s place as the new Man Utd co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to fire ten Hag.

In his first campaign at Old Trafford, Ten Hag led the Red Devils to an FA Cup final, League Cup glory, and a top-four Premier League finish in 2022–2023.

Will Man Utd fire Erik ten Hag?
But things haven’t gone as planned this season; Manchester United finished last in their Champions League group and found it difficult to stay up with the top four teams in the Premier League.

Thanks to penalties from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, Manchester United defeated Everton 2-0 over the weekend, overcoming back-to-back defeats to Fulham and Man City.

However, Ten Hag’s team was far from convincing once more as they gave up 23 shots to the Toffees. Sean Dyche’s team is disappointed that they were unable to leave Old Trafford with at least a point.

Ten Hag’s future at Manchester United is expected to be decided at the end of the current campaign, contrary to previous reports, but recent subpar play may signal a shift in strategy.

Furthermore, Ratcliffe “has decided to fire” Ten Hag, according to Spanish newspaper Nacional, and he “may interfere in Barca’s search for a new coach.”

Man Utd is “negotiating” for De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton, as the Italian is “the name they have in mind” to succeed Ten Hag at the conclusion of the current campaign.

It is “impossible” for the Seagulls to retain De Zerbi past the summer because he “also appears on the agenda of other top-level teams.”

Deco, the sporting director of Barcelona, views the Brighton manager as his “favorite” choice to succeed Xavi when the current campaign comes to an end. However, the Red Devils “will try to prevent him from ending up at” Camp Nou in the summer, preferring to succeed Ten Hag.

One of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s primary targets is Leny Yoro.
The Red Devils are rumored to be targeting Lille’s Leny Yoro, so there may be a number of changes to the Man Utd playing roster in the summer.

In his Caught Offside column, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Manchester United’s interest in the teenager, saying, “There have been new reports about Manchester United trying to win the race for the young Lille defender’s signature. Leny Yoro is one of the most exciting talents who could be on the market this summer.”

My understanding at the moment is that there will be a large number of clubs competing. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are undoubtedly present. Man United sent scouts after him, but as of right now, nothing is happening because the new board is still deliberating over plans for the summer transfer window.

It’s also crucial to remember that Yoro won’t be inexpensive; however, the exact cost is still unknown because Lille President Olivier Letang will make that decision in May.
