Vinicius Jr. finally responds to shocking Manchester United transfer rumours, naming the one team he would leave Real Madrid for. Manchester United has been linked to a move for Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, whose future in Spain has been up for discussion amid new Kylian Mbappe talk. I will join Man United only on one condition.

The newest high-profile player to be linked to Manchester United is Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid; however, the Brazil international has previously stated that returning to Flamengo would be his only option to leave the Bernabeu.

When he turned eighteen, the forward moved to Madrid after starting his career with the Rio de Janeiro team. He has 68 goals with Los Blancos, including the game-winning goal in the 2022 Champions League final. He has scored more than 20 goals in each of the previous two seasons.

Since Vinicius has a contract in the Spanish capital through 2027, Los Blancos are not in a rush to make a profit.

But there might be a temptation to balance the books if Kylian Mbappe joins the team during the summer after his Paris Saint-Germain contract ends.

A £130 million raid has been linked to United in what appears to be a major first summer window acquisition since Sir Jim Ratcliffe joined the team.

The 23-year-old would have to retract his earlier claims if such a move went through, as he had previously stated that leaving his current club would only be possible with a return home.

After a secret transfer discussion, Erik ten Hag has another change of heart about Harry Maguire.

In an interview with France Football and L’Equipe last year, the forward stated, “I think I could stay here my whole career, but the club of my life is Flamengo” (via the Manchester Evening News).

“I assured my father that I will return someday. I have to honour my word.

“In general, I adore life here, and my family is doing well as well. My loved ones recognise me while I’m out and about, and they only want the best for us.

“Little by little, I became aware of this new life, these fresh feelings, this ardour… Madrid is not like other cities. I hear about this club from people all around the world. Other than that, I find it appealing. We have a lot of activities, but I’m really a homebody.

The current transfer record for United is little under £90 million, which they paid Juventus in 2016 for Paul Pogba.

Reports claim Vinicius would cost £130 million, however there is still question over how practical a move would actually be.

Host of Match of the Day Gary Lineker and several of his social media fans dismissed the links with a laugh. One person laughed, “And I want a toilet made of gold!” Another person said, “I want a Bentley. Guess what, neither will happen.”

Three people thought the links were “laughable.” “Considering how much they would probably want for him, every club in the world would love to sign Vinicius Jr., but none of them could get him from Madrid!” they continued.
