“My client passed his physical yesterday in order to join Arsenal, but the club hasn’t agreed on my own pay yet.I might have to back out of the agreement.” Agent says his guy is ready to sign with Arsenal today, but the team hasn’t agreed on his own pay and has threatened to back out of the agreement.

According to reports, Arsenal is in the lead this summer to sign France international Adrien Rabiot.

Recently, Mikel Arteta’s team announced the signing of Riccardo Calafiori in a £42 million deal. However, additional signings are anticipated in the upcoming weeks as they look to challenge Manchester City’s hegemony in the Premier League in 2024–25.

Rabiot, who recently left Juventus at the end of his contract, has reportedly piqued the interest of the North Londoners.

The 29-year-old is wanted by Manchester United, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gunners are the front-runners to capture the central midfielder.

The Frenchman has also been linked to La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, while AC Milan has contemplated a transfer but is currently concentrating their attention on Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana.

Rabiot started his professional career at Paris Saint-Germain, where he went on to win five Ligue 1 championships and make 227 senior games.

He joined Juventus in 2019 and was instrumental in his team’s Serie A championship win in his first season.

Additionally, Rabiot started each of France’s five games at Euro 2024, when they were eliminated in the semi-finals.

The 29-year-old might be an excellent addition for Arsenal because of his extensive experience competing at the highest level of football.

When a deal for Merino is finalised, they will not want to acquire Rabiot.
