Personal terms agreed: Man United agree personal terms over midfielder’s transfer as 7-years deal is proposed

The Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Galatasaray, according to a report in the Turkish media.

In recent weeks, the Scotland international has been linked to a move to the Turkish champions and Fulham has expressed interest in him.

According to Sabah’s report on the most recent events surrounding Galatasaray’s pursuit of McTominay, the 27-year-old has consented to a contract worth €5 million annually. It’s unknown how long the contract offered to the Scot will last, and it’s not apparent if that amount includes taxes.

However, Gala’s first bid of €15 million was turned down, therefore they haven’t been able to come to a deal with Manchester United over the move. According to Sabah, the Istanbul club is prepared to pay €20 million plus add-ons, while the Premier League team is reportedly seeking offers of €25 million.

Furthermore, €25 million doesn’t seem like enough, so maybe the Turkish media is exaggerating.

In addition, Fulham has reportedly been trying to sign McTominay after their £20 million bid was rejected. Again, this might be a positive spin to appease Gala supporters, but there have been allegations in the Turkish press that he does not want to transfer to Craven Cottage.

McTominay scored ten goals in 43 games for Manchester United in the previous campaign. His deal with the team expires in June 2025, though they may choose to extend it by one more year.
