OFFICIAL NOW: Manchester United completes the signing of a sensational candidate for the Balon d’ior. A contract signed until 2028. Everything set as supporters welcome their fourth summer addition.

It appears that Man Utd is moving closer to finishing their double attack on Bayern Munich by signing Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui as each day goes by.

Under Vincent Kompany, the pair is out of favour, and the German team will probably consider these departures.

ESPN reports that Man Utd is working harder to sign both players. Bayern would be open to selling them for a total of £55 million. Still, the Red Devils’ bid is now less than what the Germans were hoping for.

Personal matters will never be a problem between the two players. who previously worked with Erik ten Hag. want to get back together at Old Trafford. Should they decide to sign for Manchester United, both players have agreed to sign five-year contracts.

Man Utd, now partially owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has realised that in order to compete in the top divisions of the Premier League, they must assemble a strong team. They are now quite active in the transfer market as a result of this.

Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro are the two new players the Red Devils have signed thus far. While the latter sustained a catastrophic injury during preseason that would sideline him for three months, the former has not yet reported to the squad.

Man Utd still need a starting centre defender to play with Lisandro Martinez, even with the purchase of Yoro. Erik ten Hag’s system is well-known to centre back De Ligt, who has the ability to command the defence for many years to come.

However, Mazraoui is a flexible full-back who can play as a left-back in addition to his primary position as a right-back. Compared to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is not particularly gifted offensively, he will be an improvement.

For Man Utd, signing the pair for less than £55 million should be obvious. The question should be when the Red Devils acquire De Ligt and Mazraoui, not if they will. How long it takes will only become clear with time.
