Following the completion of an agreement to leave Chelsea, Conor Gallagher is scheduled to go through a medical examination with Atletico Madrid early this week.

It is estimated that Atletico Madrid would pay approximately 33 million pounds for the England midfielder, who has reached an agreement with the La Liga giants over the personal parameters of a long-term contract.

Additionally, Chelsea has granted permission for Gallagher to undergo a medical examination, and the transaction is scheduled to be finalised this week.

Both Chelsea and Atletico Madrid allowed the 24-year-old player till the end of the weekend to make his decision regarding the transfer. Chelsea accepted a £33 million bid from Atletico Madrid last week.

Jude Bellingham, who is also a member of the England team, will wait for Conor Gallagher in Madrid.                                                                                                                                                                                    247sporstrock.com

There was a possibility that Gallagher may extend his contract with Chelsea, which was scheduled to expire the following year.

It is believed that two additional top six Premier League clubs have made enquiries regarding Gallagher over the past few days; however, he has made the decision to relocate to Spain.

If Chelsea had not made a decision regarding his future this month, they would have run the risk of losing him permanently the following summer.

Over the course of the previous season, Gallagher was a consistent member of the Chelsea team and racked up more minutes in the Premier League than any other player in the Blues side.

The academy graduate was given the responsibility of captaining the team on a regular basis while Reece James was not available. As a result of his performance under Mauricio Pochettino, he was selected for international competition in 2024.

Since Pochettino left his position as manager of Chelsea, Gallagher has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer. This is due to the fact that his contract is coming to an end.
