Obi-Martin set for Man United medical after ‘magnificent’ offer accepted

Chido Obi-Martin, who is a target for Manchester United, is scheduled to have a medical examination with the club this week, according to sources who spoke to Football Insider.

After the 16-year-old sensation accepted what insiders describe as a “magnificent” offer from the club, a full agreement has been reached and the negotiations have been finalised.

After reaching an agreement with Arsenal, Obi-Martin made the decision to leave the club because he believed that Manchester United provided a more favourable path to the first team.

A conversation had taken place between the Danish striker and Mikel Arteta, who personally attempted to convince him to remain at the Emirates Stadium. However, Arsenal was not willing to expedite the process of acquiring him through their system.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, the assistant manager of Manchester United, had direct conversations with Obi-Martin, and it is reported that he played a significant role in persuading him to join the 20-time champions with Manchester United. Since he made headlines in October 2023 when he scored ten goals in a single Under-16s game against Liverpool, Obi-Martin has been the subject of much discussion.

Manuel Ugarte of Paris Saint-Germain, Youssouf Fofana of Monaco, and Martin Zubimendi, a quality player for Real Sociedad, are among the players that the club is keeping an eye on currently.
