Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, published a striking social media statement in the midst of rumours about his future.

The Portuguese player has drawn interest from Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and Saudi Arabia and has been linked to a move away from Old Trafford this summer. Although Fernandes has a contract that expires in the summer of 2026, comments he made about his future sparked rumours about him.

He stated, “I don’t have thoughts for other things at the moment,” in an interview with DAZN Portugal earlier this summer. It depends on more than just me. To be perfectly honest, the only time I’ll consider giving up on the Premier League will be following the Euros.

“A player must always want to be here, but you must also want him to stay.” I think there’s that right now on both sides. I’m not giving the future a lot of thought, not least because it’s clear that neither individually nor collectively, this season has gone as well as I had planned.”

Fernandes took a long break after competing for Portugal in the Euro 2024, and he spent the weekend back at Carrington for preseason. After using Instagram, he seems to have made a decision regarding his future.

Fernandes shared pictures of himself at Carrington and said, “Back home,” then a love heart. Ana Pinho, his partner, only made a sweet comment.

The midfield player appears to be concentrated on the upcoming season, as United’s Community Shield final at Wembley on August 10 is scheduled to take place against Manchester City. Fernandes has been a key component of United’s recent success, and the team is eager to hold onto their captain.
