For me, it’s a dream come true. After joining the Reds, Man United’s third transfer signing expressed his happiness to be called a player.

Dani Olmo, an attacking midfielder for RB Leipzig, is still a target for Manchester United this summer, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

The Spain international has been on the Red Devils’ radar for some time, but if they want to submit a bid, they will have competition from Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester City.

Leipzig turned down Barcelona’s initial offer of €40 million for Olmo, plus an additional €20 million because they want to pay €60 million for their top player.

In six matches, the “outstanding” 26-year-old scored three goals and provided two assists to help his nation win the 2024 European Championship.

Man United is seeking to increase the strength of their attacking lineup with signing Joshua Zirkzee, a forward for the Netherlands.

Olmo is a flexible player who can play as a striker, right flank, central midfielder, and behind the striker, which fits their desired player profile.

With 25 appearances, eight goals, and five assists at the end of the previous season, the Spaniard has had comparable results in front of goal since 2016–17.

Olmo can significantly boost the Red Devils’ performance on the pitch, but it’s unclear if they can now draw him in.

Joining any of Bayern, Barcelona, or Man City instead of Man United is more alluring because they are all Champions League participants the next season and consistent winners in their respective divisions.
