Manchester United in negotiations with PL rivals to seal deal for goal machine, talks expected to reach a “positive conclusion” tonight as player set to arrive tomorrow for medical- report

Manchester United and Arsenal, rivals in the Premier League, are negotiating to acquire teenage goal prodigy Chido Obi-Martin.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano verified last month that United had beaten off competition from both England and outside to get the highly-regarded Obi-Martin.
After his contract at Arsenal expired, the 16-year-old left. The attacker turned down the Gunners’ attempts to prolong his stay in North London.
He was given an ambitious assignment by United that included a clear route to the first squad. Obi-Martin will be regarded as the third striker, only after Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, if he formally joins the Red Devils, according to a report that was carried by The Peoples Person.
Although Romano declared that Obi-Martin had passed his United medical, he cautioned that Premier League regulations might delay the announcement.
An update on the matter has just been provided by Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic.
“Manchester United are negotiating with Arsenal over a compensation fee for Chido Obi-Martin after the Danish youth international completed his medical at Carrington,” Whitwell wrote for the publication.
“Obi-Martin, the 16-year-old striker, and United have largely agreed on personal terms. Arsenal must now accept an exit price in order for the transfer to proceed.”
“It is anticipated that negotiations will conclude amicably, as opposed to proceeding with a Premier League tribunal.”
Whitwell continued, “The Premier League will go through a ratification procedure, which might take several weeks, after a fee is agreed upon given his age. Obi-Martin is not thought of as a player for Erik ten Hag, but rather as an academy signing.
Although it is anticipated that the young player would join United’s U18 and U21 teams, he will occasionally get the chance to train with the senior team.
For Arsenal’s U18s last season, Obi-Martin scorched 32 goals in 20 league games.
