Man Utd ‘agree on three signings’ as INEOS plan blockbuster summer transfer finale

Man Utd are still making moves in the summer, as INEOS plans a late rush.

Reports say that Manchester United wants to add at least three more players before the summer transfer deadline. Since Marseille bought Mason Greenwood for £27 million three weeks ago, the Red Devils have been quiet, but INEOS are said to be planning a late rush of important business.

United had a great start to the summer when they signed Leny Yoro, a centre back from Lille, and Joshua Zirkzee, a striker from Bologna for a total of £88.5 million in the middle of July.

It brought in just under £50 million when Alvaro Fernandez, Willy Kambwala, Donny van de Beek, and Greenwood were sold. This made room for more players to come in.

But fans have become more angry in recent weeks because there hasn’t been much going on with arrivals and exits.

Seven players got hurt before the season started, and six of them are defenders. This makes Erik ten Hag’s team even weaker than it was in 2023–24, when 66 players got hurt or sick.

The new season starts on Saturday with a Community Shield match against Manchester City. The next Friday, Fulham will play their first Premier League game at Old Trafford.

People are worried that Ten Hag and United might have a slow start to a very important season, but INEOS won’t keep quiet until the August 30 deadline.

The Manchester Evening News says that United want to sign at least three more players this month.

The big teams at Old Trafford need more sales, though. They are said to be actively trying to get rid of Victor Lindelof, which would make room for a new centre back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, like the 30-year-old, is also out of contract next summer. His agents are apparently in talks with West Ham United about personal terms.

Ten Hag needs Wan-Bissaka to leave in order to move forward with a simple return with Noussair Mazraoui, the right back for Bayern Munich.

He was told he can leave, and so can Matthijs de Ligt, who is also an ex-student of Ten Hag’s and has informally agreed to signs with United.

It’s also thought that Manuel Ugarte, Martin Zubimendi, Adrien Rabiot, and Sofyan Amrabat have all been talked about as possible middle additions for the Dutch manager.

But that has been harder to do since it has been hard to sell Casemiro after the Saudi Arabian bidders stopped interested.

Fulham made two offers on Scott McTominay, but United turned them down. The second offer was worth £20 million, and United is now hanging out for £25 million.

Christian Eriksen, on the other hand, is likely to play out the last year of his deal and then leave for free next summer.

The story also says that United could add an attacker to the list of places they want to improve if Jadon Sancho leaves, as Paris Saint-Germain is interested in him.
