A new source suggests that Arsenal is ready to formally propose signing Baris Alper Yilmaz, a prominent player from Galatasaray, during the upcoming summer.

After a sluggish beginning in the current transfer period, Arsenal has intensified their attempts to strengthen the team and has already acquired Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna to enhance the defensive line.

In addition, the North London club is also in the process of negotiating a deal to acquire Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad in order to strengthen their midfield. Nevertheless, there have been several reports indicating that Arsenal is also eager to acquire a new forward prior to the conclusion of current transfer season.

Several strikers have been associated with a potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks, including Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen, and Viktor Gyokeres. Nevertheless, they have not chosen to officially express their interest in signing any of them.

According to Turkish Football, Arsenal is interested in acquiring Yilmaz and is ready to offer £17m to Galatasaray in order to complete the deal. The major source for this information is a recent article from Turkiye.

Yilmaz is transferring to Arsenal.
According to the article, West Ham United had expressed interest in him, but they have since chosen not to forward with the transaction. Therefore, Mikel Arteta’s team is expected to have a direct opportunity to attract the 24-year-old to the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming summer.

Previous reports indicate that the Cimbom had valued their star player at about £26m. It is uncertain whether the Turkish giants will accept the request from the North London club if it is submitted.

Yilmaz had a successful season in the Turkish top-flight last year, contributing to Galatasaray’s victory in the league. Furthermore, he assumed a pivotal position for Turkiye in the European Championship and successfully led his team to get to the quarter-final stage.

He is a versatile attacker who is adept at playing on either side and can even play in the central forward position. If Arsenal were to acquire him, his adaptability would undoubtedly be a valuable asset.

Nevertheless, there are uncertainties over whether he would enhance the Gunners’ existing offensive choices and thus, if he would be the appropriate selection to assist Arsenal in attaining their ambitious goals if they were to acquire his services.
