OFFICIAL NOW: Manchester United has announced the purchase of a £70 million superstar who struggled in the league under manager Pep Guardiola last season. The player is currently en route to London for a scheduled medical examination, which is scheduled for today.

Man Utd’s supporters have been anticipating this spectacular summer for a very long time. Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui are the Red Devils’ previous four high-profile additions. Manuel Ugarte will make it five.

To tell it as it is, one never knows when to give up on Ugarte. Deadline Day approaches, and Dan Ashworth must act quickly to make sure the team provides Erik ten Hag with all the resources he needs to run a strong campaign.

The fact that Man Utd has signed relatively quietly thus far this summer may prove to be a godsend in disguise.

As long as the performances continue, no one will bring up the total amount of transfer payments the team has paid thus far.

Manuel Ugarte will be Manchester United’s fifteenth permanent addition since Erik ten Hag assumed the manager’s role, according to MEN (picture attached at the end). The lack of support from the board is the one justification he is unable to use this season.

The last time a Man Utd manager had as much leeway in the transfer market as Ten Hag does, it is difficult to recall.

The Uruguayan midfielder, who plays for PSG, is very close to signing a £42.3 million contract with the Red Devils.

Ten Hag has gradually eliminated every player [23 to be exact] that he doesn’t want at the team during his tenure. Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, and possibly Diogo Dalot are the only members of Man Utd’s strongest first team on paper.

Like the other players Manchester United signed in the summer window, Ugarte is a great addition and just what the team needs. Casemiro is unmatched in terms of regen, and the senior Brazilian can share some of his knowledge with his younger South American rival.

Erik ten Hag will have a fascinating season leading up to Man Utd. Naturally, there is still some transfer rumour around Raheem Sterling’s entrance and Jadon Sancho’s exit.

But aside from that, the Red Devils’ roster for the upcoming campaign is almost set, and it’s time to start performing well on the pitch.
