Man United are likely to have a busy last 48 hours in the transfer window, which will be the end of a pretty busy window.

Everyone was interested in what would be different with Sir Jim Ratcliffe in charge, and Dan Ashworth has made sure that he has done everything possible to improve the team.

Any club that signs Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and Manuel Ugarte this summer will see it as a big success. Erik ten Hag has been given all the tools he needs to keep working on the project.

Man United might be able to add to this team. We wrote earlier today about a story that said Dan Ashworth was the one who pushed Raheem Sterling to leave Chelsea and join Manchester United. Sterling was willing to make the move.

Now, Give Me Sport says that Manchester United is ready to sign Sterling to a £7.8m-a-year deal this summer. There will be times when Erik ten Hag doesn’t use this player, but he knows that he will get those chances.

This means Sterling will only make about £150,000 a week, which is a big drop from the £325,000 a week he makes at Chelsea right now. What Manchester United is paying isn’t even half of what he makes now.

Sterling will have to accept that he is not a starter at Manchester United and agree to this pay cut in order for the move to go through. Really, the 29-year-old doesn’t have a reason to stand up after two average seasons with Chelsea.

Sterling already knows how to win the Premier League because his family has a history of doing it. Although his play hasn’t been great lately, neither has Chelsea’s. The 29-year-old might be able to start over if he moves to a new club.

It would be a first for Sterling to have played for Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United if United were able to make this deal happen. Watch to see if the experienced player gets to Old Trafford before tomorrow at midnight.
