In order to play for Accrington Stanley for a season, Manchester United defender Sonny Aljofree will be sent on loan.

Aljofree was seen as a young player who would do well on loan from United. Last year, Accrington ended in the bottom half of League Two. However, the fourth level has been good for a few United youth players’ education over the last few years.

During the January transfer window, United signed custodian Radek Vitek on a six-month loan to Accrington. United thought that his time away was a success. Aljofree hopes that his time at the club will help him improve so that he can make his start with the first team at Old Trafford, which is his final goal.

Aljofree signed a flexi-loan with Altrincham in January and played with the non-league team for a few months. With these creative loans, young people can get senior experience while still being a part of Carrington’s daily life.
