Jadon Sancho completes his late loan move to Chelsea after Manchester United agrees to depart.
Blues are said to have completed the trade on time because to the use of a contract document that permitted them to remain in two hours beyond the transfer deadline.

After reaching a late agreement on the day of the transfer deadline and using a deal document to seal the move, Jadon Sancho left Manchester United to join Chelsea on a loan.

Finalised before the two-hour extension that gave them till 1am BST on Saturday morning, the agreement is said to include an undertaking to make the transfer permanent the following summer at an approximate cost of £25 million, subject to certain conditions being met. Sancho’s difficult time at Old Trafford would come to an end as a result.

The 24-year-old, who paid £73 million to go from Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund to United in the summer of 2021, has been cut from the England squad because he hasn’t been able to regularly display his finest play since.

Last season, Sancho, a former Manchester City player, fell out with boss Erik ten Hag. For the second half of the season, he went back on loan to Dortmund, but in the summer, after meeting with the Dutchman, he started training again at United.

Sancho hasn’t played in either of United’s opening two Premier League games, despite participating in summer friendlies and making a late substitution against City in the Community Shield at Wembley earlier this month.

Chelsea has acted to sign the winger even though they added Pedro Neto and Joao Felix this summer to their group of attacking players, which also includes Marc Guiu, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, Nicolas Jackson, and Cole Palmer.

Raheem Sterling has now joined Arsenal on a loan with no buyback option, after the completion of another last-minute trade on deadline day.
