Arsenal won their first Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain yesterday night.

In the 20th minute, Kai Havertz scored with a header past the onrushing Gianluigi Donnarumma. Bukayo Saka extended the club’s advantage in a fortunate manner before the intermission.

Havertz was named Man of the Match for his entire effort. The German star won ten duels and seven defensive acts. He also excelled in hold-up and link-up play.

Shortly after the game, the 25-year-old shared on Instagram that it was a ‘beautiful night under the lights’.

Saka was one among the Arsenal stars to remark, responding: ‘On🔥’.

Arsenal has enjoyed a strong start to the season, being undefeated after nine games.

Havertz has contributed significantly to the club’s season thus far, with five goals and one assist.

The former Chelsea player was a standout performance in the second half of last season.

He has picked up where he left off, scoring some key goals for the London giants.

On Saturday, Arsenal will face Southampton at home in the Premier League.

They will be overwhelming favourites, but they cannot afford to be complacent in this game.

The Saints have proved a stumbling block for them, with two draws and one loss in their previous three meetings.

Arsenal cannot afford to take the visitors lightly, having nearly lost two points against Leicester City.

The team gave up a 2-0 lead in the second half, but finally won in stoppage time.
