He demonstrated it for the national squad. In Bologna, he still needs those minutes, which is a major issue for him.

“He must be self-assured and egoistic enough to outperform his opponents and compete for the place in the club that he won in the national team.

“He is an offensive player, but we need some other players around him who can help him develop even more abilities. If he plays at Anfield Road, he would face a difficult task because Liverpool has a smaller playing field.

“Then he has no time for anything, and every hesitation is exploited. But let him get experience; it will all benefit off later with the national team.”

Slot is anticipated to make modest changes to his squad for the match at Anfield, when Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday morning.
