England will face Greece and Finland in a pair of UEFA Nations League fixtures in October, with interim manager Lee Carsley facing some major hurdles.

Bayern Munich’s striker believes the increased number of potential attacking players bodes well for the Three Lions, who face back-to-back Nations League matches. Cole Palmer’s beautiful Chelsea exhibitions have captured the attention of many. A welcome return to goals for Jack Grealish, as well as Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham, who are expected to play after missing the previous month, provides Carsley with plenty of alternatives.

Kane stated, “We have a lot of terrific competition for spots in that area, especially as strikers, which is amazing to see. That’s what you desire. The management has a headache, for sure.

“Our country has a lot of talented people. Everyone is performing at a high level in big games and important circumstances, and it will be intriguing to see who will be present next week. From an English perspective, it is fantastic to see everyone performing well.”

Kane described Bayern’s 1-0 defeat at Villa Park as ‘one of those nights’ while paying tribute to Unai Emery’s team. Jhon Duran’s spectacular goal 11 minutes from time separated the teams.

England’s all-time leading scorer received some criticism from the German press, although he should have been put in by Serge Gnabry after the winger and forced Emi Martinez into a spectacular save in the final seconds from one of the few chances provided for him.

Kane added, “They’re a good team. There is still a long way to go in this tournament to see how it all plays out. From our perspective, it was one of those evenings where we could have stayed out for another half hour and struggled to score.
