Two of the top three center backs in the world, according to Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger, are Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba of Arsenal.

When asked which three center backs he thought were the finest in the world right now, Rudiger mentioned the Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk and the Arsenal pair while speaking on the Inside Scoop Podcast.

“I would travel to Saliba. I like Gabriel from Arsenal too, and I think William Saliba and Virgil van Dijk are pushing it hard,” he said.

Rudiger continued, explaining why Saliba and Gabriel have such a strong center-back connection at Arsenal.

Folarin Balogun commends Mikel Arteta for his choice to let him go.
In recent years, Arsenal has sold a number of Hale End products, and in the summer of 2023, striker Folarin Balogun left the team.

The striker, who is currently with Monaco, has complimented Mikel Arteta’s decision to sell him, even if he didn’t get much of an opportunity at Arsenal.

He told JD Football, “I remember talking to Mikel about his plans and he said he wouldn’t be able to guarantee me the same amount of games I got last year.”

That made sense, but in my opinion, I required such games to advance and pick up new skills.

“I think it was a decision that is sometimes just the right decision; it wasn’t really a big decision.”

What actually transpired at Crystal Palace with Rob Holding
Rob Holding was similarly let go by Arsenal a year ago, but his time at Crystal Palace has not been easy.

The center back has been shut out of the Crystal Palace team and has not made an appearance in the Premier League.

Holding and manager Oliver Glasner appear to have had a falling out, as reported by TBR Football, and the Englishman appears to have no chance of getting back to Selhurst Park.

After spending seven years at Arsenal, Holding was never able to make a name for himself as a starter, and things have not improved for him since he left the Emirates.
