Bukayo Saka told to ‘move over’ as Arsenal star who can easily ‘do everything’ has been named as Mikel Arteta’s Most Important player

Formerly regarded as Arsenal’s most important player, Bukayo Saka is currently up against Kai Havertz in that regard, according to contemporary punditry.
Havertz, who arrived from Chelsea in July 2023, has made nine appearances in all competitions and has five goals and one assist so far this season.
Many people have praised Havertz for his performances, most notably Arsenal supporter and former Tottenham striker Darren Bent, who thinks Havertz has grown essential to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent hypothesized that Havertz may currently be Arsenal’s most vital player—possibly even more so than Saka, who has played a significant role in the team’s recent comeback.
“As of right now, there’s a debate about who the most important player for Arsenal is—including Saka,” Bent said.
Havertz’s ability to fill a variety of jobs has been a valuable asset to Arteta.
Bent went on to say, “He’s comfortable in possession and can play a variety of positions, including No. 9 and No. 8.” He’s courageous and a goal scorer.
“He has never finished a season with more than eight league goals for Chelsea and three assists.” He only scored three goals in a row in three games last season, despite having seven assists and 13 goals for Arsenal.
Havertz’s physical presence and capacity to be a key component of Arsenal’s build-up play were also lauded by Bent.
I like that about him for Arsenal. Sometimes the press is on and you can’t counter Arsenal’s attempts to play it out from the back, but you can still clip the ball to him. He bears it on his shoulders, fights for it, takes the header, and engages others. “His ability is not limited to just scoring goals; he can do everything,” the speaker continued.
At the time, some people were skeptical about Havertz’s decision to transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal. Despite being the game-winning goal in Chelsea’s Champions League final victory, he failed to live up to the lofty standards set for him during his time at Stamford Bridge.
However, Arsenal spent £65 million on the German international, and it appears that their choice is already paying off. Havertz has become an essential player under Arteta, providing support to Saka and Martin Odegaard in addition to scoring goals.
Havertz spent the majority of his career playing as a central attacking midfielder, but Arteta has used him in a more advanced role, and he is currently Arsenal’s starting No. 9 in place of Gabriel Jesus.
Havertz’s ability to demonstrate his adaptability and tactical acumen as a result of this positioning change has improved his contribution to the team’s overall performance.
Havertz’s play implies he will continue to be a fixture in the side even if Arsenal adds a forward to the roster, despite the fact that they are anticipated to recruit a new striker next year—Jonathan David of Lille is apparently on their radar.
Other Arsenal players are also the subject of ongoing transfer rumors, with defender William Saliba being linked to Paris Saint-Germain most recently.
Respected transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, however, has refuted these rumors, stating that the French powerhouses have not made an attempt for the center defender.
Despite the fact that William Saliba’s extraordinary talent will always be respected, Romano stated, “There’s nothing to a rumor that Paris Saint-Germain could make a big offer for his services at this stage.” No proposition, no conversations, and no approach from PSG have occurred.
“He’s very happy at Arsenal, and there’s nothing ongoing with any club – no idea where these PSG stories are coming from,” the speaker continued, expressing Saliba’s satisfaction with his life at Arsenal.
Saliba appears to be staying at the Emirates, while Jakub Kiwior, another defender, may not be there long-term.
Kiwior is reportedly planning to depart Arsenal in 2025 in pursuit of consistent first-team playing time, according to reports from TBR Football.
