“I’m happy for the win but to be honest, it’s not easy playing with him again these days, I don’t want to sound too rude but he needs to go join Aubameyang and Lacazette in another league”- Arsenal game changer Gabriel Martinelli expresses lack of frustration at playing with £47M teammate who ONLY completed 9 passes had fewer touches than Raya yesterday against Southampton

“I’m glad we won, but to be honest, it’s hard to play with him again these days. He should go play with Aubameyang and Lacazette in a different league,” said the game-changing player for Arsenal. Gabriel Martinelli shows no signs of impatience despite playing with a £47 million teammate yesterday against Southampton who only completed 9 passes and had fewer touches than Raya.

Gabriel Martinelli, an Arsenal player, believes that the star should be benched against Bournemouth.

Jesus, an Arsenal player, needs to be benched against Bournemouth.

Arsenal defeated Southampton 3-1 at home Wednesday to maintain their lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

At the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners had to overcome a deficit to defeat the Saints. With two assists and one goal, Bukayo Saka spearheaded the comeback. The other goal scorers were Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz.

Off the bench, Martinelli and Leandro Trossard altered the way the game was played. Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus were replaced by the pair, and they should be upset with their lack of influence against the Saints.

Jesus appeared to be a spectator before to his substitution in the sixty-minute mark, despite Sterling’s impressive dashes into the box.

Need to let go
Manager Mikel Arteta surprised everyone by starting Jesus in three changes. Despite having the opportunity to make a significant impact, the Brazilian was only able to muster 20 touches, seven fewer than David Raya in the goal.

With a 69% completion rate, the Brazilian completed just 9 passes. He lacked confidence and failed to score on any of his three shots on goal against a club that had only 41% of the game’s possession.

Football.london gave the former Manchester City player a mere 5/10 for his performance.

For the London heavyweights, this is a real cause for concern because Jesus is regarded as the team’s backup striker.

With Arteta continuing to rely on Havertz and Jesus, Arsenal refrained from investing in a new marksman. Havertz has scored six goals so far this season, but since returning from injury, Jesus has appeared unwell.

Before suffering another injury layoff during the preseason, the 27-year-old had signs of getting back to his best. He will not be starting for the Gunners against Bournemouth because of his awful performance yesterday, according to the head coach.

With Kai Havertz leading the front as their man, the London giants have a distinct appearance. Arteta might have been lost if the lineup had been changed, but Arsenal’s current players seem to have a never-say-die mentality when playing.
