Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, gave an update on two players’ injuries after watching his team play Nottingham Forest at home yesterday afternoon and ending in a 1-1 draw.

Maresca would have hoped to send his international players off injury-free and keep the rest of the team together to continue training in front of the return of domestic football because it was the final game before yet another international break.

It’s actually been quite encouraging to watch Chelsea handle injuries much better this season than they did the previous two.

Of course, injuries are inevitable in this game and will happen to you eventually. Additionally, two players who were benched last night raised two concerns.

Colwill and Madueke are now leaving for England service.

Noni Madueke and Levi Colwill, the two players who left the England national squad yesterday owing to injuries, have both been called up again.

Maresca has updated us on both of them via the Chelsea website, but we haven’t heard anything about whether they are still planning to join the England squad.

He declares:

“I believe that both of them are okay after entering the changing room.” I don’t believe there is a problem there, but we shall see.

That sounds extremely promising, especially for Colwill who appeared to be experiencing a lot of trouble during yesterday’s second half of the game before eventually coming off.
