After attending a meeting on Monday with important members of the Manchester United leadership team, Sir Alex Ferguson has left Old Trafford.

A series of discussions between co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Joel Glazers took place at Old Trafford on the day after United’s winless streak reached five games following a draw at Aston Villa. In attendance were Omar Berrada, the chief executive, and Sir Dave Brailsford, the head of sport at Ineos.

Monday afternoon’s Fans’ Advisory Board meeting was scheduled for Glazer to attend. Gary Neville, a prominent member of the Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force and a former United defender, was also expected to speak at the meeting regarding the stadium project.

Late on Monday afternoon, Berrada, Ferguson, and Neville all departed Old Trafford through the main door. The Ineos delegation had parked their cars behind the stadium to avoid the spotlight of the people gathered near the megastore, even though they had arrived for the meetings on the main forecourt.

According to United, the meetings on Monday were prearranged, and an executive committee meeting is scheduled for tomorrow in London. Ratcliffe, Glazer, Brailsford, Berrada, as well as football captains Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox, will be there.

Erik ten Hag hasn’t been there because he’s still fighting to keep his managerial job. The Dutchman, who has only supervised three victories in the season’s opening 11 games, is under increasing pressure.

Only Southampton has scored fewer goals than United’s five as they enter the October international break in 14th place in the Premier League. On Sunday, Ratcliffe, Brailsford, Berrada, Ashworth, and Wilcox were all there at Villa Park to see the dull draw.
