Arsenal Invincible outlines mistake Gunners can’t make in Premier League title fight

Mikel Arteta is attempting to win Arsenal’s first Premier League championship since the club’s legendary Invincibles side of 2003/04, and Gilberto Silva has given him some advise.
Arsenal cannot afford to lose any points at home against lower-ranked Premier League teams this season if they are to break Manchester City’s title grip.
That is the perspective of Gilberto Silva, a member of the renowned Invincibles team that won the title 20 years ago. Arsenal has not won the Premier League since then, although they are going close, having fallen up just short versus City in the previous two seasons under Mikel Arteta’s guidance.
City won the title by just two points last season, after beating Arsenal by five points in 2022/23. Pep Guardiola’s team is aiming for its fifth consecutive title this season, and eighth overall in nine years.
That means Arsenal has no room for mistake, especially because Liverpool appears to be making it a three-horse fight after a good start under Arne Slot. “I believe that the team now is quite mature and structured. When we look at the Arsenal team, the players, the team, and the formation, we can see a clear balance between the sectors. “It is critical to travel far,” Silva told MyBettingSites.
“The recent signings have been significant, and as a result, the whole task has become simpler. It’s not only about hiring; you also need to employ athletes who will wear the shirt and produce results for a side like Arsenal.
“It will not be easy again. It is crucial to learn from past mistakes. In the previous two seasons, they committed critical blunders against lesser and mid-table opponents, particularly at home. This season, they must complete their schoolwork thoroughly.
Arsenal enjoyed a near-perfect record at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League last season, but were defeated 2-0 by West Ham and Aston Villa, with 2-2 draws against Fulham and Tottenham. They’ve already squandered two points at home this season, in a 1-1 draw with Brighton, and such mistakes might be costly come May.
Despite being undefeated in seven games, Arsenal is presently third position, one point behind leaders Liverpool. Former Brazil player Silva believes Arsenal will never have a greater opportunity than this season, having accumulated experience from the previous two campaigns. “They have all the conditions,” he explained.
“They’ve been battling with them for two years, correct? In a sense, they have gone ahead of Liverpool in this debate. Last year, it was extremely close, and maybe even part of the preparation they had been doing since Arteta came. They were able to complete the job ahead of schedule thanks to everyone’s hard work and devotion.
“And I feel that this year, they must [do something]. I regard it as a year of accomplishment, even if only as a declaration of the club’s own efforts. “The time has come, right?”
