‘I want to join Arsenal’ – £65m striker refuses to sign new contract offered by club

A star player is reportedly being offered lucrative new terms after having such an amazing season debut, but he is delaying the deal since Arsenal is showing interest.
Arsenal wants to add a striker by 2025.
Despite being linked to a number of center forwards during the summer transfer window, Edu Gaspar and company decided to stick with Kai Havertz and he has earned them back with a superb start to the new Premier League season.
While the German’s six goals in ten games across all competitions show that Mikel Arteta and Edu made the right decision, his current injury scare also raises the possibility that Arsenal may need a strong backup when he’s not available.
It was reported during the summer that Arteta was looking for a youthful partner for Havertz, and early in the window they made an attempt to recruit Benjamin Sesko, a starlet for RB Leipzig.
Sesko rejected offers from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United in favor of staying in his current environment and advancing his career in the Bundesliga.
But it doesn’t mean Sesko won’t be departing soon; according to Fabrizio Romano, the player and Leipzig have a “gentleman’s agreement” that allows Sesko to go in 2025 or 2026.
As Edu considers the idea of bringing in an additional target man in the beginning of the year, it is thought that Arsenal is still pursuing Sesko ahead of a possible 2025 move, along with a number of other strikers.
Omar Marmoush, an Egyptian striker who has had a fantastic start to the season, is another striker target who has come into their focus over the past two weeks.
In fact, Marmoush has drawn interest from England due to his impressive stats of nine goals and six assists in his nine appearances across all competitions. Arsenal has also been connected to Marmoush, and West Ham has put up new plans to sign him.
Marmoush “hesitating” to sign a new deal because of Arsenal’s interest
Recent reports from Germany claim that Marmoush “dreams” of playing for Arsenal or Liverpool, with the Gunners perhaps vying for his services in the upcoming season.
In light of Arsenal’s connections to the athlete, reporter Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany has now provided an update on the player’s future. He claims that even with the possibility of a bigger wage being offered, Marmoush is now “hesitating” to sign a new contract with Eintracht.
However, it seems unlikely that the African, who is expected to cost approximately £40 million, will depart in January, therefore Arsenal may have to wait until next summer to take advantage of his uncertain future.
