Louis Saha names two Man Utd stars who ‘aren’t helping’ Bruno Fernandes

The presence of Christian Eriksen and Kobbie Mainoo as a midfield tandem creates additional challenges for Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, according to Louis Saha, who is concerned about the situation.

A dreadful start to the season has been experienced by United, which has resulted in Erik ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford being subjected to rigorous examination over the international break.

Moreover, Fernandes’s performance has deteriorated, as he has not scored in eleven matches and has been sent off in two of his most recent three matches, with the first of those matches, which was played against Tottenham, being overturned subsequently.

However, when it comes to selecting his partner in the center of the park, Ten Hag has been known to chop and change. Mainoo, who is 19 years old, has been a consistent presence in the middle of the field.

Since the beginning of the Premier League season, Casemiro has been a substitute for the team. He started the first three games of the season.

As a result of his struggles during his first league start against Tottenham, Manuel Ugarte, who was acquired from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of fifty million pounds in the summer, was benched for the match versus Villa, which ended in a goalless draw.

Eriksen has started three of United’s previous four league matches, but Saha is concerned that the Dane and Mainoo “do not have the legs” to effectively assist Fernandes. Saha is also concerned that “their positioning is not right.”

“It could be a bit of bad luck that Bruno Fernandes hasn’t scored yet, he’s hit the bar, and these things happen,” Saha said to Paddy Power. “It’s possible that it’s a bit of a coincidence.”

It appears that he is not as self-assured, but the strategies employed by Manchester United are also a contributing factor. He has not received any assistance and has been handed a great deal of passes by the wingers.

“When his talent isn’t talking, you’ll find him struggling,” the saying goes. “His talent does the talking.” Even while his work rate has remained the same, the squad is not connecting as effectively as they should be.

There are certain tactical choices that United has made in the middle of the field, and while they have talented players, they are lacking in legs.

It is true that both Christian Eriksen and Bobbie Mainoo are skilled with the ball; yet, there are instances when they play too deep and are not close enough to the strikers.

To put it simply, it is difficult to view them since they are too far away and their stance is not correct.
