This Saturday, Man Utd will play Ipswich Town in Ruben Amorim’s debut game as manager.
Before his debut game as Manchester United’s manager this weekend, Ruben Amorim is expected to get a fitness boost.

When Amorim travels to play Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon, the new head coach will be leading his team for the first time. It appears like Amorim will gain by having a crucial player available for the match.

Bruno Fernandes was discharged from international service with Portugal sooner than anticipated, and he will be returning to Carrington early this week. With a 5-1 victory over Poland on Friday night, the United club captain scored a goal to assist his country take first place in League A, Group 1 of the Nations League, and guarantee a participation in the championship competition the following year.

As a result, Monday night’s Portugal trip to Croatia is essentially a rubber match, and manager Roberto Martinez will take advantage of the chance to try out several lineups. In addition, Fábio Silva and Geovany Quenda were promoted from the Under-21 team, while Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, and Pedro Neto were dropped from the team.

Prior to their journey to Portman Road, Fernandes will have some downtime before returning to Carrington, where he will have the chance to work closely with his countryman and new head coach Amorim. This season, the 30-year-old has started 17 of United’s 18 games in all competitions and has played the third-most minutes of any player. He scored four goals in four games under temporary manager Ruud van Nistelrooy after the team had a difficult start to the season under former manager Erik ten Hag.
