Despite the absence of many of Manchester United’s international players, Ruben Amorim managed to lead an outstanding training session, and Marcus Rashford impressed.

Marcus Rashford gave a laudatory assessment during Ruben Amorim’s first Manchester United coaching session.

Although many of his players were abroad on international duty, the Portuguese manager formally started work last week after arriving from Sporting Lisbon. A group of players practiced at Carrington on Monday, albeit a few are still missing.

A handful of academy stars were added to the ten first team members who were available for Monday’s practice. With Kobbie Mainoo, who is still getting closer to full fitness, joining Rashford, there was still some impressive quality on display.

Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Leny Yoro were all there. Yoro hasn’t played competitively for the team since joining from Lille in the summer. Rashford posted on social media, “Top session today,” demonstrating his admiration for the training his new manager provided.

This Sunday’s match between the Red Devils and Ipswich Town at Portman Road will be Amorim’s first game in charge. The Portuguese coach, who has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young coaches, arrives.

He guided Sporting to multiple domestic championships and was a two-time league champion. Amorim’s playing style has increased his appeal, and the 39-year-old has stated that communicating his preferred style of play for the squad is his top objective right now.

“We know that we need time, but we have to win time,” he said on the club’s website. Winning games means winning time. But identification is what matters most to me. Therefore, we will begin with our identification from day one.

“We will undoubtedly prepare the games, but we will pay close attention to our game model. These are little nuances, like how to press or play. It would be confusing for the players if you focus on every aspect. Therefore, if I had to sum it up, identification is my primary objective.

Before making his managing debut in England, Amorim might only have two complete training sessions with his entire team. His opening act is much anticipated, and the new boss is adamant that his philosophy will be clear. “An idea will come to you. “I can assure you of this,” he continued.

Adjusting to playing with three at the back will be the Manchester team’s toughest obstacle after suffering their worst Premier League season start ever. Amorim is probably going to deploy wing-backs and three center-halves in his lineup.

In England, the unusual system has not been employed very often. Although Antonio Conte’s Chelsea tenure was its greatest success, many of the players at Old Trafford won’t have spent a significant amount of their careers in that formation.
