Arsenal
A Liverpool icon expresses strong displeasure with the Kai Havertz ruling made during the Arsenal versus Brentford match.
Jason McAteer, a renowned figure in Liverpool’s history, contends that Kai Havertz was fortunate to escape a second yellow card shortly before scoring the decisive goal against Brentford.
The German player seemed to fall to the ground quite quickly after being challenged by Nathan Collins, and referee Paul Tierney chose to be lenient. To the chagrin of Bees’ manager Thomas Frank, Havertz subsequently scored a decisive goal in the last moments, so preserving Arsenal’s chances of winning the title.
Having been substituted in the 65th minute, McAtee expressed his strong belief in his analysis during an interview with beIN SPORTS after the match, asserting that the judgment made was incorrect.
