Despite All my efforts and All that I have done For this great Club this is what Arteta wants to use in rewarding me back by choosing Academy player over Me”, Kieran Tierney reveals the hidden truth behind His outburst with Arteta and why He has chosen to leave by January as a free agent

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta dismissed rumors of a potential exit for Kieran Tierney as rumours regarding a return to Celtic intensify.

Tierney will become a free agent when his contract expires this summer, leaving the January transfer window as the last available chance for Arsenal to obtain a transfer fee for the 27-year-old left-back. Injuries have dogged Tierney’s career and limited his impact at Real Sociedad during a loan stay last season.

The Scotland international has just made one appearance for the Gunners this campaign – beginning in the midweek Carabao Cup triumph over Crystal Palace. Reports arose this week claiming that Arsenal had decided not to trigger the one-year extension clause in his contract, stoking speculation around a reunion with his boyhood club, Celtic.

Arteta was probed about Tierney’s future ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Palace’s Selhurst Park on Saturday. “At the moment he’s here with us,” the Spanish boss stated. “I wouldn’t play a player that is thinking about leaving or is not committed to us.

“He’s fully committed, he’s enjoying things after a long period again with a really tough injury. Live the moment. He’s a huge part of the squad now. He deserves to be in the squad, he played pretty well the other day after such a long time. This is the only thing I have to say about it.

In addition, the manager of Arsenal stated that Tierney had not brought up the subject of a transfer away from the club, but he did reveal that the Scot had previously advocated for another player to leave the club.

“He has not approached me and informed me that he wants to relocate,” Notable is Arteta. When there were times in the past when we had any uncertainties, he would come to me and say, ‘I believe it is my time to move.’ To this point, this has not been the case.

Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, who worked with Tierney in Glasgow for three years stated that he would not be lured in by the rumors when they were brought up. During the course of this week, the manager of the Northern Irish team responded in a straightforward manner, saying, “We will never speak about a player, especially a young player who is at another club.”
