Ruben Amorim transfer lists TWO Man Utd players ahead of January window

It’s possible that Ruben Amorim will permit two Manchester United first-team players to depart as early as the January transfer window.

The 39-year-old Amorim watched his United team play poorly at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, losing to Bournemouth 3-0.

Due to the outcome, United, who have only won six of their 17 league games this season, remained in 13th place in the Premier League.

Amorim has only seen his team win once in their last four top flight games, while the majority of the subpar performances occurred under Erik ten Hag.

The Portuguese will surely be alarmed by this and may decide to reduce his team during the winter transfer window.

United’s 20-man matchday squad did not include 27-year-old Marcus Rashford because a surprise new club has emerged as the front-runner to capture him.

After being left out of Amorim’s squad prior to the team’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City on December 15, Rashford told journalist Henry Winter last week that he felt “ready for a new challenge.”

Since then, he has been excluded from the matchday squads for both yesterday’s Premier League game and Thursday’s 4-3 Carabao Cup loss at Spurs.

Two more first-team players may be leaving during the January transfer window, according to recent reports.

Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof are both “available” for a move during the winter transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano’s GiveMeSport newsletter.

“There is currently nothing concrete, but [Christian Eriksen and [Victor] Lindelof are available for the January market,” Romano said.

“Both players are undoubtedly capable of being available in January.”

Eriksen, 32, was not used as a substitute in yesterday’s loss to the Cherries and has only appeared in nine Premier League games this season.

Lindelof has suffered numerous injuries throughout his time at United, the most recent of which occurred during the first half of last Thursday’s cup match against Spurs.

The 30-year-old Lindelof was not included in Sunday’s matchday roster.

Both players can begin negotiating pre-contract agreements with overseas teams on January 1, 2025, as their contracts are scheduled to expire on June 30, 2025.

Caught Offside claims that United would like to let go of the Sweden international in January in order to recover at least a portion of the £31 million they paid for him when he came from Benfica in the summer of 2017 (via BBC Sport).

West Ham United, Newcastle United, and Everton are reportedly interested in the player, and the club would request €7-8 million (£5.8-6.6 million) in January.
