“I heard the board talking about a new striker and i….”- Arsenal man Gabriel Jesus RESPONDS to the secret behind his recent goalscoring form following a 5-1 trashing of Crystal Palace

The board was discussing a new striker, and I overheard them talking about it.Following Arsenal’s 5-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace, Gabriel Jesus, a player for Arsenal, has responded to the question of what the secret is behind his recent goalscoring form.
“It’s great to be back in the team,” Jesus said in response to Arsenal’s victory at Palace, which they won 5-1.
It is wonderful to have Gabriel Jesus back playing regularly for Arsenal, and he has stated that he does not have any doubts about his ability to score goals, provided that he is able to find himself in the appropriate positions within the penalty area.
Just a few days after defeating Crystal Palace with a hat-trick in the Carabao Cup, the Brazilian international demonstrated his soaring confidence by scoring two goals to help Arsenal win 5-1 at Crystal Palace. The victory came just a few days after Brazil’s victory over Crystal Palace.
After the game, he was questioned by Sky Sports about his performance. Take a look at what he had to say…
On the basis of a significant victory…
In a nutshell, I believe that the initial objective was of utmost significance, way back when. According to the manner in which we begin the game, the entire team was really prepared to play well and to fight. Since we are aware that it is always challenging to come here, we are aware that they have a powerful team and players of high quality. We accomplished what we set out to do, and clearly, I am pleased with the results. Since I am a nine, I am aware that there is a lot of pressure on me to score goals, and I think I might score again today, so yeah, I’m happy. Today’s victory and the three points were extremely important.
Having scored five goals against Palace in the span of a week…
To be honest, I’m the type of guy who likes to work hard. I know my qualities, I know I can score goals, like I said after the game against Palace [on Wednesday]. Obviously after a game I scored in, it’s quite easy to say that but in my mind, I know I can score, I just have to put myself in a good position to finish the action, like today, I could have chances again.
“I put two in the net, I missed one but still, when I play with a smile on my face, everything is different. I’m trying to keep my mind strong and try to help the team and put myself in good positions. That’s me, help the team, defend, cover the ball but I understand, I have to be more in the box to finish the action.
On his goals…
It was good play by the team and then it was a great job by [Gabi] Magalhaes because he hold the defender and I screamed at him to leave the ball, he helped me, blocked – it was a very important move from him. After [for the second], Thomas [Partey] played a great ball and I finished the action. I scored but the guys were incredibly vital to create the chances as well.
On how good it is to be back feeling sharp…
Like I mentioned, it’s great to be back in the team, playing more. Obviously, like I said after the last game, I always worked hard to try to get chances and play. At the same time, I am aware that I have sufficient experience, despite the fact that I am still young, I have been here for eight years, and I am aware that when a player is playing regularly, it is different, both in terms of their confidence and their physicality.
I’m glad to receive more chances but it’s on to me to put myself in a good position to try to score. It’s Arsenal, it’s a huge club, I know the pressure for the number nine to score is there. I just want to keep trying to help the team with the goals and that’s it. I think Kai [Havertz] is an amazing player, he scored a lot, so I think Arsenal are doing good. I’m very thrilled to be back [scoring] in the net and I just want to keep scoring.
On a new baby on the way…
I believe a lot in God. If there wasn’t a God, I know for sure, I wouldn’t be here. I started my professional career when I was 17 years old, which is where I come from. My first time in Palmeiras in the academy I was 16, like I’ve seen Ethan [Nwaneri] here with us. I always believed in God, and he is doing fantastic with me now again. When I was his age, I was playing in the streets in my hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil. I was also expressing my faith in God.
God is great and then he gives me a chance to be a father again. I just want to enjoy it, I just want to get home with my wife and daughter and then soon, in like six months, there will be another one. That is God. Because God is so wonderful in my life, I am unable to grumble; instead, I give thanks to him.
