It is something that I do not like to see my club lose every time. I am aware that the players that are currently on the roster are not good enough, but Amorim has a hand in this loss; if that is not the case, how can you be benching such outstanding players in this game?Paul Scholes, a veteran for Manchester United, opens up about the two decisions that Amorim made yesterday that ended up costing the squad.
The dismal Premier League campaign that Manchester United is now experiencing continued with a loss to Wolverhampton, which resulted in a score of 0-2 for the team. This results in Manchester United’s third consecutive loss.
When Nuno Espirito Santo was managing a Wolves game against Manchester United, the spirit of the game remained alive in the first half. The managers in both dugouts had affected the spirit of the game.
It was a half that was distinguished by attacking disappointments and bad decision-making interspersed with some smart goalkeeping. Both teams had momentary opportunities, but neither of them managed to score a goal that was decisive.
All of these factors combined to leave the two teams without a goal at the break, but there was enough tension to suggest that the second half will be more favorable.
In spite of the fact that Wolves got off to a better start in the second half, United captain Bruno Fernandes was shown a second yellow card for making an unnecessary tackle, which resulted in him receiving a booking.
Immediately after that, the video assistant referee (VAR) arrived to assist United, who had conceded in their normal frail manner; yet, things did not appear to be going well for an undermanned United.
The goal that appeared to be just a matter of time away did, in fact, come at some point, and it came from yet another set-piece. Onana was packed in and defeated direct from a corner once more.
The substitutions made by Amorim did provide some excitement to the game, and United played effectively despite the fact that they were at a numerical disadvantage.
This is how the players evaluated the game:
Andre Onana, who is three years old
Just two times in a week, they were defeated directly off a corner kick. It’s just that they don’t have enough command over the set pieces, and that uncertainty is infectious to the team.
The number six for Leny Yoro
As a result of being booked early, he made things more difficult for himself, but he was able to handle the challenge effectively throughout the rest of the game.
The seventh spot goes to Harry Maguire.
An additional intelligent display that is genuinely competing with De Ligt for the central center-back position. In possession, assertive in defense, and searching for the object.
6 years old Lisandro Martinez
At the same time as he tackled with aggression and appeared to be confident on the ball, he quietly returned to some form.
6-year-old Noussair Mazraoui
Because his teammates were so careless, he came dangerously close to having an assist in the first minute after United’s brilliant beginning. In the future, from that point forth, things might have been better.
The number six for Diogo Dalot
Sa stretched out to make a fantastic save from his curler that was taken from outside the box during the first half of the game. There was nothing noteworthy from that point onward.
Seven was Manuel Ugarte.
With yet another aggressive display in the middle of the field, this midfielder is probably the most dependable member of the team at the moment. As a result of being booked, will not be able to attend the Newcastle match.
4-year-old Kobbie Mainoo
Wolves exerted a lot of pressure on the player who won the game the previous year, trying to find his teammates. Following Fernandes’ dismissal, his work became much more difficult to perform. I made a substitution at the hour mark.
Amad, who is five
Within the course of this game, he was ultimately confronted with the reality of being a marked man, as Wolves double- or triple-teamed him whenever he was in possession of the ball. Just on the periphery.
The number two is Bruno Fernandes.
Because Wolves were closing the gaps between the lines, they were unable to produce much other than a layoff for Dalot’s curler on the roster. By receiving a ridiculous second yellow card in the second half, he made it hard for his team to do their job.
3-year-old Rasmus Hojlund
His hold-up play is still developing, so when the rest of the team is not clicking, he appears to be in a much worse position than the rest of the team. When it came to dealing with him, Wolves defenders didn’t even break a sweat.
